QC Engineer (Mid Level)
Job Type Full-timeA QC engineer is responsible for the creation of tests, and identifying issues with software before the product/service launch. Additionally, identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results, and collaborating with software developers to fix the systems' issues.
Responsibilities
- Testing the systems using recognized test methodologies at all points of the development life cycle.
- Designing both automated and manual regression tests to verify the system functionality.
- Executing tests using automated and manual techniques.
- Examining the design of user acceptance.
- Submitting recommendations on the software validation for release.
- Collaborating with the development team to identify the system requirements.
- Performing exploratory testing using customer scenarios and domain expertise to fully qualify a SUT and test documentation procedures .
- Running repetitive testing tasks across multiple configurations (OS, Browser, platforms) and environments (staging, production) to provide system confidence.
- Identifying, recording, and tracking defects.
- Reporting security and performance issues to the development team.
- Staying up to date with new testing tools and strategies, also sharing knowledge with the QC team.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- 3-4 years total of QC experience.
- A proven programming knowledge is a must.
- ISTQB certified is preferred.
- Strong experience with test automation tools.
- Familiar with JIRA and ticket workflow processes.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development process.
- Critical thinker, problem-solver, and details oriented.
- Great interpersonal ,communication, and time-management skills.
