1. Background
CarrikCare wanted to facilitate the workflow process of healthcare, digitizing the nurses assigning shifts for hospitals and care homes in carrick county and whole Ireland in the future. CarrikCare required a mobile app and platform that the staff can onboard with them, facilitating also the hiring process for staff. ensuring he qualifies to be an active licensed nurse. Then digitalizing the hospitals and care homes shifts requests and assigning them to the appropriate nurse personnel. This was a whole transformation for the process sequence on ground.
2. Client Requirements
CarrikCare asked eSpace to design a connector platform and mobile app to serve the healthcare niche in Carrick, Ireland. That platform was to enable any nurse to register on the platform and be able to showcase their availability times and Curaflex app would connect it with our care homes and hospitals orders. The application must follow neat UI/UX standards, be able to register and onboard nurses easily and enable a user-friendly flow for shifts allocation, registering and approving time-sheets.
3. The Challenges
The mobile application and the admin platform had to include features that made it easy to use for staff and admins. Including them on iOS and android stores. The main challenge was mimicking an onground process flow that had multiple international stakeholders and users, each of which with their own expectations to be met. We designed an appealing mobile app for the staff users enabling a high user experience flow connecting it with an operational web interface that enables the admins to track and record their operations easily.
4. The Solutions
We designed an interface that made it easy for nurses to register on the platform and start to upload their training certificates and required documents so admins can verify and check them with ease making sure that only high standard nurses are accepted on the application portal.
eSpace also designed an admin web platform system that enabled admins to view each applicant nurse and how its training certificate aligns with their requirements, also enabled admins to track and view all availability times for active staff members and allocate shifts to them according to their availability. Admins were also able to see each user’s timeshifts and connect it with their clients for signing and approval.
The system also enabled CarrikCare team to connect with clients as hospitals and care homes, create accounts for them and assign staff to each client’s needs with the ability for invoicing each client, notify it with shifts assigned and financial invoices.
5. The Outcome
Curaflex now is ready to start serving its internal and external staff users with expected Daily active shifts to serve around 200 shifts as a start. And monthly active staff users of 300 nurses with a north star metric to serve over 10k shifts per month.
