eSpace proudly participates in a discussion panel about the Egyptian Free and Open Source (FOSS) Strategy at CairoICT 2016 exhibition and forum. Our very own CEO Mr. Youssef Aly represented eSpace at the panel along with Dr. Hossam Osman, ITIDA VP; Asmaa Hosni, ITIDA CEO; Khaled Rabie, Etisalat Misr CBO; Dr. Haitham Hamza, Cairo University and Mohab Anis, Innovety CEO.
Speakers announced the launch of EgyptFOSS platform, also they discussed many FOSS subjects like its role and potential in the governmental sector, its impact on SMEs and the private sector, its role in exports, and its impact on labor and unemployment rate.
We are excited that we are launching EgyptFOSS Platform at Cairo ICT 2016 to promote free and open-source software in Egypt. As a leading open-source software house in Egypt, eSpace has been working with ITIDA on developing an online platform to build a sustainable FOSS community encompassing FOSS users and developers, encourage and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to utilize it.
EgyptFOSS is considered the first step of the Egyptian national strategy to promote free and open-source software in Egypt. The strategy aims to improve efficiency and transparency of the Public Sector and foster a competitive environment.
Today, eSpace is celebrating the delivery of SAIFI Portal, the students training program introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Labor and the Human Resources Development Fund "HRDF" to the Saudi students.
SAIFI Portal offers a better training opportunities to Saudi students during summer vacation to help them acquire and improve the required skills and experience. The program brings students, training centers and companies together to facilitate the students training and prepare them to be ready for the labor market.
Our team created a new success story by delivering the portal features on time although the time was limited and the schedule was tight as a result of the program deadlines.
We are proud that we successfully delivered Junnah "http://Junnah.com/", an Arabic online health and fitness platform that provides interactive training programs, to prevent and deal with common diseases in the Arabic world such as diabetes. The platform aims to increase health awareness among Arab world.
The interactive programs will be designed and delivered online in co-operation with other healthcare institutes and under the supervision of professional specialists.
